Tom Gleeson is a set and production designer based in New York. Tom is also a artist that creates a wide range of art work. Tom is a recipient of the 2010 Princess Grace Award for his work in Theatre. Tom works in theatre, film, television, and events among other design related projects. Tom, is originally from Bloomington IN, lives in Brooklyn NY and has lived in New York for over ten years.
Tom holds an MFA in Design for Stage and Film from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and a BFA in Design and Fine Art from Ithaca College. He has worked in a variety of aspects of design and production. In his work, Tom is interested in the whole experience, capturing stories through the visual environment, as well as the psychological make up of each space and how it is used. Tom's work varies from sculptural to graphic to architectural and environmental installation works, often combining aesthetics to create the needs of the production and visual language which is being used. To Tom, each project has it's own unique identity and is carefully created to achieve the desired look and feel. He is always looking for new ways of expressing an idea and reaching to capture a unique experience.
